How to buy a copy of
Compton Village Past & Present

Compton Village Association has underwritten printing costs and is managing this project.
A limited number have been printed and over half were sold at the book launch so
BE QUICK to reserve YOURS!

This book was compiled to share the numerous photographs, memorabilia, and other ephemera collected by residents, past and present. Pictures of places, people, and events taken during the time the writer lived in Compton contrast with those taken during the 19th and 20th centuries. Whether a resident, past resident, visitor, or history enthusiast, this book aims to inform as well as entertain.

The aim of this project has been to provide residents and those with an interest in Compton Village with a high-quality, 180 page book that captures village life over the last 100 years or so. The book is A4, hardback with a satin-finish dust cover. The pages have a 135 gsm satin finish, and they include many sepia and full-colour privately owned and licensed images.

This is a not-for-profit project, and the writer and all those involved in the creation of this book have done so voluntarily.

The Compton Village Association hosted the launch and HUGE thanks to everyone who came. It was brilliant and the feedback has been nothing short of amazing. More than half the print run was sold at this event!
